Spice Up Your BBQ With Denise's Dry Rubs: Now Available Over The
Internet

July 4, 2003: SAN JOSE, CA: On today, one of the biggest barbeque days of the year, we officially
launch DenisesDryRubs.com.
Denise Egan, founder of Denise's Dry Rubs, grew up in England, in her own words "not exactly the
culinary center of the world! Perhaps it was the steady diet of fried food and overcooked meat and
vegetables that sparked the need in me to try new and interesting tastes."
Denise's friends would always compliment her on her cooking and even comment how she had a talent
for making even leftovers into something delicious.
After working at a successful career in insurance, she always felt that something was missing "I always
wished that I'd had a calling - you know, something I really wanted to be when I grew up. Then one
day I realized that cooking was something that really made me happy" says Denise.
She left her career, became a wife and mother, and moved to San Jose, California with her husband and
two sons. "And thanks to the glorious California weather, we spend a lot of time barbequeing and
entertaining. We even got a real smoker and enjoy long weekends when we can take the whole day to smoke
a turkey or a brisket and ribs for a crowd." says Denise.
After hearing all this praise from her friends about the "dry rubs" she created by hand to spice up her
BBQ, she thought "why not let more people try them? Why not sell them over the internet?" Denise's
husband Chris put his web development skills into action and built a web site.
DenisesDryRubs.com sells 5 Dry Rub varieties (Original, Cajun, Tex-Mex, Kansas City & Jamaican
Jerk) from their website. The site also includes a BBQ recipe database.
